EMT-Basic

Location:               Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department   OPEN

Class Starts:         October 15, 2012
Class Ends:           February 13, 2013
     
Class Schedule:    Mondays and Wednesdays 6 or 7pm to 10pm (varies)

Tuition:                $799 (includes text and the VA State Exam Fee)
$250 deposit is required to reserve your seat ($50.00 can be refunded if the student notifies AEC at least one week prior to the start of class); the remaining $549.00 is due the first day of class.

Other Costs
:        AEC requires a mandatory national background check and 10-panel drug screen through www.certifiedbackground.com. The current cost for this is $71.00 and must be completed no earlier than 30 days before the class start date. AEC will provide the necessary instructions after the student has registered.

EMT-Basic to EMT-Intermediate  **must be certified as a Virginia State EMT-B prior to the start of class.   

Location:               OWL Volunteer Fire Department   OPEN

Class Starts:          July 28, 2012
Class Ends:           January 26, 2013
     
Class Schedule:    Mondays, Wednesdays 6 or 7pm to 10pm (varies), many Saturdays and at least  two Sundays (Weekend classes are from 9am to 5pm)

Class Schedule:    Optional: Tuesday/Thursdays 6pm-10pm or Fridays 9am-5pm. When scheduled, Saturday or Sunday classes MUST be attended by all students, regardless of weekday attendance.

**Be advised that this Intermediate class requires the successful completion of the REMS ALS pre-test with an 80% or better in order to take the course.  Please contact Linda Harris at the Rappahanock EMS Council to schedule your pre-test.  Do this as soon as possible.  If you happen to fail you will be provided the opportunity to test again, if time permits before the class starts.**

A non-refundable check for $250.00 is required to reserve your place in the program ($50.00 will be refundable if cancelation is made at least one week prior to the start of class).
 
This fee will be subtracted from the total tuition.  Make all checks payable to Associates in Emergency Care.  Students are enrolled on a first come basis.
